Trout Lake Fiery Autumn Sunset

Story: Trout Lake is one of the most spectacular lakes in Colorado with easy access right off of Highway 145 south of Telluride. The drive is an epic ride through the San Miguel Mountains with the highest point being Lizard Head Pass at 10,200 feet in elevation. This photo was taken during my first trip to Trout Lake in Autumn. I had already known how the Autumn colors would look at this lake and  planned my fall shoot specifically around this region. During the evening it was heavily overcast and I was almost convinced that I would not have any color, yet right as the sun went below the horizon the bottom of these clouds lit up in this fiery red. The mountain sides also caught fire with an incredibly intense alpen glow, one of the strongest I have ever seen. Needless to say, I was ecstatic that I was completely wrong earlier

Each print is signed, numbered, and hand picked from my portfolio to become a set of limited edition prints. The print size will vary depending on the ratio of the final photograph because I keep the original aspect ratio intended for that image. The final print will come with a white border on the top, left and right, with a deeper white border on the bottom for signing and numbering. This also makes it easier when your framer is mounting.
